A few weeks ago I had a photo shoot that involved dripping wax and a glass ball of whiskey. My first challenge was using dripping wax and being able to control it. I did a couple of different test with wax used for seals. It worked pretty well, but the control was all over the place. Then I came across seal wax made to use with a hot glue gun. It worked GREAT!!! I had total control over the wax and it was super easy to use. My next challenge was to have a round glass ball with whiskey and ice cubes inside. What I came up with was using a glass dome upside down taping filament to the top and hanging it. That way I could arrange the ices and pour the whiskey in. Then the retouchers could use the top of one photo and the bottom of another to make a complete ball. Below are a couple of quick shots. One shows the various wax drips and the other is a picture of the whiskey rigging.
