This weekend I built a metal hook that will be used at a trade show in Las Vegas in a few weeks. This wasn't my typical prop project, but they never are.... The hook will be used under a flat graphic that will be attached to a real truck, so this hook is suppose to marry both of those worlds and basically disapear. I will add photos once I have them when it's installed. Below are some pictures of the process.
This is the rough sketch with measurements.
Here I am sanding the bottom of the hook with a Dremel sanding tool. I had to make it as thin as possible so it lays flat under the printed graphic.
Here is the finished hook painted to match the truck's attachment point.
