2013 Atlanta Addy® Awards

A few weeks ago three images that I was involved with won 2013 Atlanta Addy® Awards. The first two are the Boy Scout images below. I was involved as the photo stylist. I got to age the uniforms and cover the kids in dirt during the photo session. In the final image for Nature's Own, I was the model. I had a blast playing a cop for this photo shoot.

5 Foot Tall Thumb Mannequin

Sometimes I get to do the craziest jobs!!! For the last few days I have built a human sized thumb mannequin that I will dress in different outfits, then will be turned over to a retoucher to place on the actual photo thumbs. The thumb mannequin didn't need to be that pretty. It just needed to match the photo in scale and proportion to make the retouchers job easier. Below are some photos of the process ending with the finished thumb.

Making Leather Benches

This has been one of the craziest busiest weeks I have EVER had and I love it! Saturday, I spend the day making three leather benches with handmade leather buttons for a project. Below are a couple of action shots of the bench process. 

Trade Show Hook Prop

This weekend I built a metal hook that will be used at a trade show in Las Vegas in a few weeks. This wasn't my typical prop project, but they never are.... The hook will be used under a flat graphic that will be attached to a real truck, so this hook is suppose to marry both of those worlds and basically disapear. I will add photos once I have them when it's installed. Below are some pictures of the process.

This is the rough sketch with measurements.

Here I am sanding the bottom of the hook with a Dremel sanding tool. I had to make it as thin as possible so it lays flat under the printed graphic.

Here is the finished hook painted to match the truck's attachment point.
