April Cover of The Boston Magazine

A few months ago I worked on the cover for the Boston Magazine with Photographer/Retoucher/Illustrator Patrick White. It was for their Marathon issue. The idea was to have a shoe with the laces spelling out run. Below are a few photos showing how I manipulated the laces into the shapes of the words. I did it in two separate pieces using floral wire running through the laces. The third picture Patrick had me doing different shapes so he could use them in conjunction with the other two images. The last picture is how everything turned out on the finished cover!
